A member asked:

Have lupus and now i am having tremors. been told it's parkinsonism but could turn into parkinson's is that true? any idea how this effects my life?

Love the rumor mill: Saying that lupus tremors can become parkinson's disease is equivalent to people who talk about fat turning into muscle! it don't happen that way. Lupus is an autoimmune disease while pd is neurodegenerative. Doesn't mean you are protected from acquiring pd in the future but if you do be sure it was not due to the lupus.
