Brush, floss: Gingivitis is not a problem caused by deficiency of tooth paste. It is most commonly a result of inadequate brushing and flossing. Most any commercial tooth paste will be adequate.

Type not important: The type of toothpaste is not important as long as you are brushing correctly, for 2 minutes each time you brush and floss daily. I would also recommend warm salt water rinses, three times a day for 7 days, to help promote bacterial death and accelerate healing. As long as the toothpaste has Fluoride in it, it's a great toothpaste.
