Sure: Medications can cause dry mouth, and certain disorders my result in excessive grinding of the teeth. Dry mouth would result in gingival irritation and increase incidence of cavities. Grinding can cause bone loss, fractures teeth, and TMJ problems.

Of course: Patients mental disorders have increased risks of dental disease due to fear, costs, habits, life-style choices, distrust of dentists, negative past experiences or stigma felt at a dentist visit. Medications can cause gum problems, teeth clenching and tooth decay.
