No rheumatologist: Hydromyelia (HM) condition characterized by widening of central canal of the spinal cord. Fluid can accumulate in this space, creating increased pressure on spinal cord. Surgery may temporarily or permanently relieve symptoms, but not without complications. In some cases may resolve on its own. Best treated by neurologist and/or neurosurgeion.
