Is a prominent central canal from t-4 to t-12 the same as hydromyelia? have a syrinx at c-6 to t-1 level.

These terms are : Closely related and sometimes the interpetation of the imaging can vary from one person to another. Central canals can be variable in size and when they get too wide it is called a hydromyelia which imay be interchangeably used with the term syringomyelia. You can get another opinion and even get several follow up mri's spaced out over months to see if there are any changes and a workup.
