See below: Sleep apnea can be due to many factors, including large neck size, high blood pressure, diabetes, nasal obstruction/congestion, smoking, alcohol use, and age. Of course, the environment plays some role in it by compounding nasal congestion. So it is not a "big" factor, but may play some role. Hope that answers your question!
