Oral appliances: For a very few people weight loss. The american academy of sleep medicine in feb, 2006 published information that for mild-moderate sleep apnea or someone with severe apnea who can't or won't use a cpap, the first line of treatment can be an oral appliance. These appliances should be made only by a dentist who has been trained in dental sleep medicine.
