Sleep apnea: Provided that they wear it and it is properly adjusted. The device was issued because the person is not getting enough oxygen while sleeping. Oxygen is essential to life. Low oxygen puts them at risk for heart attack and stroke. Surveys say that over 50% don't wear theirs- so life threatening issue is not being treated. A dental appliance can be an alternative - more comfortable.
