Could you please tell me why you go into a hospice and if it is likely you will ever come out alive?

Hospice is EOL care: Hospice is for people a Dr. believes has 6 months or less to live. Sometimes we are wrong and patients live longer and some graduate from hospice.

End of life care.: Hospice is meant for those who seemingly at the end of life, although that end can still be many months away. The emphasis of hospice care is not trying to save the life, but to give comfort to the individual as their death approaches.

Discharge alive 15%: It is interesting to note, about 15% of patient on Hospice get discharged alive.
