Can you tell me the survival rate of someone with an advanced klatskin tumor?

Poor: Klatskin tumor, a hilar cholangiocarcinoma of the biliary tree occurs at the confluence of the right and left hepatic bile ducts. These tumors tend to become symptomatic late in their development and therefore are not usually resectable at the time of presentation. Complete resection of the tumor is difficult and metastasis frequently occurs soon after identification. Prognosis as such remains poor.

Unfortunately,: if it is "advanced" to a stage where surgical resection is not possible, prognosis is not good. Sometimes, the tumor itself could be slow-growing, so exact survival rate is difficult to estimate. Consult with a gi oncologist regarding specific advice.
