For favorable histol: It's close to 100%, and even unfavorable histology the survival when localized is quite good. It dips with metastasis to lung, and the very rare rhabdoid variety of kidney tumor.

Depends.: Major factors that affect survival are stage and histology and another genetic test of the tumor. Survival ranges from 95% in some cases (stage 1, favorable histologyand normal genetics) to 60% (stage iv, favorable histology, abnormal genetics) to 30% ( stage iv, unfavorable histology).
