Much confusion: By its very nature, this subject is very difficult to study. Retrospective studies have provides a morass of mutually contradictory results, as one would expect; a huge study of onmivores vs vegetarians ajcn 2009 shows little if any impact and this is consistent with other work. You'd do better to avoid known cancer risks and to maintain evidence-based screening rather than seek a "superfood".

Eat 2 Beat CA, Pt. 4: TEA & COFFEE: Ingredients in tea & coffee may protect against a variety of cancers. The antioxidants in coffee seem to be especially effective against endometrial CA. And green tea seems protective against prostate cancer. But make sure to let it cool a bit before drinking since very hot beverages may increase the risk of esophageal cancer. (Ref: AARP, 5/2014)
