Hernia: This is an umbilical hernia, or a weakness in the abdominal wall that allows things on the inside to protrude to the outside such as fat and intestine. If you are having trouble with it, it should be surgically repaired. This can be done under local anesthesia on an outpatient basis with minimal risk of complications.
