Several: 85 yr old in poor health , no symptoms , hernia could be left alone with observation . Age is no bar for right treatment , is a low risk out patient low risk surgery , an treated hernia is always a risk for incarceration , and complications . If it gets strangulated no option but surgery , regardless of age
