Surgeon's best : The best option for repair is the one the surgeon has the most experience and expertise with, and does the best. Not too many options available for pediatric hernias anyway. She should be fine.

Primary repair: Young children will benefit from primary repair, which means high ligation and excision of the hernia sac. If the musculature of the inguinal canal is lax, then she may benefit from reinforcement of the musculature using her tissues. Would not recommend any mesh repair.
