A member asked:

I've had vertigo with side eye movement only for weeks. doc treated w levaquin (levofloxacin) and shot for inflammation. but i've had no relief. what could be wrong?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Central vertigo: Sounds like your physician thought you may have had a bacterial labrynthitis or other inflammatory process amenable to antibiotics. However, vertigo induced by what are known as "saccadic eye movements" sometimes may reflect brainstem wiring issues that should be investigated. I would recommend getting either a neurological or neuro-otological consultation.
