Not recommended: Generally speaking, positive reinforcement is a much better and medically recommended form of raising your children. The days of physically punishing your child with putting caustic things in their mouth are long gone. I recommend going to the local library as there are a number of good books on more modern and medically approved forms of teaching/training children in being "good." good luck!

No. Think discipline: which means teaching, not punishment. Reward the behaviors you want to reinforce them & ignore the behaviors you don't want, as that's the only way to extinguish them. "Little People" by Christopherson, on Amazon, teaches effective time-out. Harsh or punitive parenting increases oppositional & aggressive behavior in children. Please take a parenting class to learn positive behavioral supports.
