Very strange: Some flavorings (such as Bergamot and lemon) are the same as some fragrances in products such as soap, and your mouth and nose work so closely together it might be easy to confuse them. Never heard of Bergamot soap or crackers though. Certainly not serious, but maybe your body for some reason is just telling you not to eat these things right now. Plenty of healthy substitutes!

Bad taste: There is often no definitive reason or diagnosis for strange tastes. More common is some people who have a metallic taste. It could be due to allergies, infection, smoking, systemic or stomach issues, poor oral hygiene, tooth or gum problems, changes in saliva, reaction to medications, etc. Or for no reason. See your dentist and medical doctors for a thorough exam.
