Vascular rash: The classical appearance of acne rosacea is an inducible red vascular pattern commonly effecting the cheeks ; nose. It can be trgggered by emotion or certain foods and particularly wine. In advanced cases there is overgrowth of the sebaceous (oil) glands of the nose called rhinophyma which has been associated but not caused by drinking alcohol. Antibiotics ; recently Oracea are often prescribed.
