I completely severedmy right achilles tendon in july 2013. what is the healing time and possible residual effects?

3-6 months: It needed surgery. You probably need to be in a cast non weightbearing for 12+ weeks but if it was completely severed it should have been surgically reattached. If it didn't reattach with immobilization the consequences are serious. You should have this looked at. I hope it is not too late.

Healing time: Depends on how you were treated. Possible residual effects include difficulty plantarflexing your foot.
