Depends: It depends on the type of injury. Achilles injuries are very susceptible to not want to heal if progressed sooner than necessary. A strain may take up to 6 weeks to heal, whereas a tear may require surgery and up to 6 months with physical therapy. An exam with possible MRI may be needed if you already have not had one yet.

Depends on whether: It is strained or torn. I'm assuming tendonitis, which can take many months to heal completely with appropriate treatment. Anatomically, the blood supply is relatively poor, so between that and the fact that you use it all the time, it takes a lot longer than you'd think to heal.

Depends: On the severity of the injury. A rupture that requires surgery can take 12 to 18 months to heel a mild tendonitis can be better in a week.
