A member asked:

M.d. or m.d. phd. -if the doctor says no to a research test that is imperative. where or who do i go to next?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Imperative?: A test that is undergoing research studies to see if it is useful, valid, accurate, harmless, etc... Is not "imperative" because researchers are still trying to figure out the test. If a patient thinks he is a good candidate for participating in a study using the test, he can contact the doctors, the universities, and/or the manufacturer associated with that particular test.
