A member asked:

My endometrium measured 1.2 centimeters in an ultrasound, should i be concerned?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Menopause matters: If you are past menopause, this is considered abnormal. Pre-menopause up to 1.5cm is ok. Post menopause, up to 8mm ok if no symptoms (abnormal bleeding). If symptomatic only 4mm is allowed post menopause.Even if abnormally thickened, it is not necessarily cancer. These are just ultrasound standards that have been set to determine who needs further testing (usually with biopsy).
