what are the symptoms of the sphenoid sinus infection?

Sphenoid: This sinus is the most posterior of the sinuses. Sinusitis here occurs after the other sinuses mainly. Symptoms will still include headache and people complain about it at the top of the head or in the back of the head. It is quite nonspecific as it is more rare. Diagnosis can be by sinus xr. If in doubt, go see your doctor for proper diagnosis please.

Is sphenoid sinus infection dangerous should I be very worried it?

Dr. Tony Ho answered

Depends: It depends what is causing it. Viral infections are fairly common and mild, requiring only supportive care. A bacterial infection, you may need to take antibiotics for to clear and prevent from spreading. A fungal infection, like mucormycosis, is life threatening and needs surgery immediately.

Sinusitis: It is the same for all the sinuses except for the location. The sphenoid is up behind your nose so you may feel pressure there with the headaches. All the other symptoms of sinusitis are the same.
