Is it???: Depending upon the use of the toothpick, it can either be ok for dental health or detrimental. Many people use the toothpick as a convenient substitute for flossing and that is ok as a quick use but not for long term oral health. Toothpicks ?: It's important to clean in-between your teeth as this is the area most prone to getting cavities and gum disease. Tooth brushing alone does not get to these areas no matter how much time you spend. Personally, I recommend you use dental floss and not a toothpick. It works much better! some people can get away with using a toothpick while others damage their gums and create interproximal spaces.
