Surgery: Pain after surgery is a normal side effect, then by touching the area, you are most likely only irritating it more. Follow the instructions of the treating surgeon and let the are heal properly to improve your chances of best healing and less pain. Best wishes.

Pain: Very likely. Touching any area that just had surgery will simply irritate that area. Follow the instructions of the treating physician and leave that area alone so proper healing can ensue.
