I have a cut under my big toenail, it's not very deep but i'm scared it will get infected and i might have to get it amputated or have to get surgery.

Get examined: If the laceration is deep or sizable get it checked out. Most likely cleansing the wound/ dressing changes on a daily basis ( if it's been 'open ' for longer than 6-8 hours) is all that it needs. Go to your Family physician or ER for evaluation and treatment.Antibiotics may be prescribed if needed but your scenario is unlikely if you have it seen. Best of luck!
