Dentistry: Yes. It of course breaks some of the rules. But, this event is fairly common when there is a need that cannot be met any other way. I sometimes have to take off one glove when I am drawing blood, but keep the gloved hand next to the tube of blood. I clean the area extra well before and after. Usually those of us in health care are trying to do the best that we can.

Yes, darn it.: Sometimes those little parts require creative concepts to get the job done. Dental gloves are really more to protect the dentist than to protect the patient.

Yes but...: Taking off the gloves for very intricate procedures may be required, but avoided if possible.
