I would like to know why i keep producing mucus and having to spit it out as if a had a cold. it feels as though i always have mucus in my throat.

Pretty normal!: Even when you're healthy, your body is a mucus-making machine, churning out about 1 to 1.5 liters of the stuff every day. Most of that mucus trickles down your throat and you don't even notice it. When you do notice it-the consistency changes -it becomes thicker and heavier. Times of this occurrence: colds, allergies and sometimes certain environmental changes or food intake.
