Mucus: The mucus in your throat can be broken up by gargling with warm salt water. Make sure you you are drinking enough to stay hydrated.

Seasonal flu: Seasonal flu is very common viral infection with symptoms you have described. Usually the condition resolves on its own with home care. Drink water and get a good rest. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is also recommended every 6 hours. If concerned, see your PCP after 7-8 days or so.
