High blood pressure: New hypertension (high blood pressure) guideline was just released last month (http://jama.Jamanetwork.Com/article.Aspx?Articleid=1791497). We don't focus on your blood pressure after exercise but rather at rest. Just standing up to walk from waiting room to exam room will raise your BP so you need to sit quietly for a while before checking your bp. For those less than 60yo, goal diastolic is.
