Not sure: It is not possible to accurately diagnose vaginal trichomoniasis or vaginal yeast infection based on symptoms alone. Though a pelvic exam may be suggestive, to diagnose trichomoniasis, a lab test is done on vaginal to identify the std parasite. To diagnosis a yeast infection, a small amount of vaginal discharge is examined using a microscope (called a wet mount and KOH test). It will show candida.
