Go to doctor: The doctor prescribed Hydrocortisone because he or she thought it was a simple rash or irritation. If that didn't work, a stronger steroid cream may be necessary or even an antibiotic. It could also be a type of rash or something else like chicken pox. A doctor needs to see your child or at least a picture of the area to make a more proper diagnosis. Dermatologist would be best.
