Analgesic: Generally speaking non steroidal anti-inflammatory medications with or without Acetaminophen are a start. For persistent pain consider tramadol or tapentadol or low dose narcotics. Steroids are an option.

First of all: Get appointment with pcp .Or orthopod. They can get you meds that will probably help with the pain ; sleep over the counter meds don't usually help!
