A member asked:

Thyroidectomy in 1989 @ 7 yrs old, started having simple partial seizures @ age 10, went away for yrs now back last 2 yrs now, be because of no thyr?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Shouldn't : Since you are taking thyroxine, it shouldn't matter that your thyroid was removed. The body only needs the hormone so you should talk to your neurologist to figure out the situation with your seizures.
