Possible: Almost any focal brain lesion can act as a focus for partial seizures. These can happen at any age and may appear years after the original insult. Simple partial seizures may be difficult to pick up on routine eeg and may need prolonged monitoring. Generally speaking, we can only pick them up on routine eeg 30-40% of the time.
