A member asked:

What do occasional myelocytes and activated lymphocytes presence in blood film means for a young child ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Exposure to antigens: Children are exposed to hundreds of "new" antigens (organisms, stuff in the air, particles, etc). These can give activated lymphocytes and a shift in the blood profile to a slightly more immature appearance.
