Can eyelid twitching be an early sign of a seizure?

Not likely: Twitching of your eyelid is most likely caused by stress. There are some rare conditions where eyelid twitching is a symptoms, but these have to be evaluated by a eye physician. If the symptoms happen sporadically once and awhile, no further treatment or work up is needed. If the symptoms are more constant an evaluation is warranted.

Eyelid Spasm: This can be the result of stress, fatigue, eye strain, caffeine, or any number of systemic factors. You should get it checked out and if correcting these possible causes does not help, Botox treatment may improve your symptoms.
