Moving Muscle: Seizures always originate in the brain. What you're experiencing is a tremor, spasm or tremulousness. Localized twitching is not uncommon and no one knows exactly why they occur. Some theorize local chemical imbalance in the muscle tissue is responsible, others believe it is a localized spontaneous discharge of a nerve ending. Whatever the cause, they are usually transient and harmless.
