I was wondering what are the different types of root canal treatment?

RCT: Basically the technique is the same for all rct's. The two main differences are: first, whether hand files\instruments or rotary\reciprocating files are used to clean out and shape the canals. Second, whether the canals are filled with a preformed gutta percha filling or special two component gutta percha is heated and then placed into the canal.

Hand, rotary,laser: Root canals can be treated with hand files, mechanical files and with lasers and a combination of any of the above three. I do root canals with hand files and mechanical rotary files. What is most important with a root canal is to remove 100% of the diseased tissue and bacteria from the tooth and seal the tip of the root to prevent bacteria from reinfecting the tooth.
