Hard and painless: If you examine your breast while lying down, using the flat part of your hand/fingers, you should be able to easily feel a cancer in the breast and it will feel like a knot, a lump or thickening which is painless and harder than the rest of your breast tissue. If you have any suspicion, you must see your doctor and ask her/him to examine you for confirmation. A mammogram may be needed to be sur.
