Please tell me what does hyperaerated lung fields mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Copd: It means the lung volumes by cxr are larger than norma, with flattening of the diaphragm, increased anteroposterior diameter, and is a common finding in COPD or in any form of air trapping. Note that sometimes people just simply have readings as such in cxr and no illness can be found.
