No clear connection: Numerous reports have suggested that patients with diabetes have a higher risk of dying from cancer- probably because of the multiple organ problems associated with diabetes. There is no proof that diabetes causes cancer but there may be a link. Epidemiologic studies show an increased risk for cancers of the liver, pancreas, endometrium, colon, rectal, breast, bladder and non-hodgkins lymphoma.

Pancreatic.: There may be other cancers diabetics are at increased risk for, but the important one is pancreatic cancer. Long standing diabetes increases the risk. So does smoking.
