What do i do about severe back pain after colostomy?

Hmm: If the pain is within days/weeks of the colostomy then you need to get urgent evaluation by the general surgeon and your primary care provider. If the pain is "chronic" as in more than 6 months, then you should also get an opinion from your general surgeon, but then you might also consider seeing an orthopedist.
