I just had a colostomy surgery because of severe abdominal pain. a week later the biopsy results says that i have a gastrointestinal tuberculosis. my surgeon insist that i shall get for a second opinion of my biopsy. what should be the next step?

Specimen: Talk to your doctor or the surgeon. A second opinion would be based on sending the specimen to another lab. Some centers are more focused on TB than others for example. GI TB is not common and having an expert check the slides would be a good idea. For example Chron's disease can mimic TB.
