See specialist : I would recommend that you see a spine specialist or if you already have, seek a second opinion. Hopefully it will get better with conservative care. Surgery would be necessary if you develop a neurologic deficit or if it does not get better in 8 weeks. Check out spine-health.Com. Good luck.
