Don't drink: It sounds like you've been a rather chronic drinker. I don't know how much you drink but if you fear going into withdrawal then it would be best to sign in for detox. I don't want to see you get dehydrated from the diarrhea which he described as severe. You should definitely stop the alcohol, but only in safe setting, and regardless of what your blood test showed, you need to see a G.I. Doctor to find out the exact cause of your diarrhea. It may be the alcohol or it actually could be something else. Push fluids nonalcoholic fluids and contact your doctor at the earliest possibility. If you're getting too dehydrated and have someheadaches lightheadedness dizziness and leg cramps, you should have someone drive you to the emergency room for fluid replacement. Best wishes.
