Possible: Could also be new infection, call your board certified gastroenterologist, not his pa.

Maybe: You should call the gastroenterologist helping you manage your disease. Symptoms sound typical for crohn's. If you don't have a GI doctor, find one with experience and interest in dealing with inflammatory bowel disease. Hope this helps, good luck, and happy new year.
