Listen to your: Body. I have had a number of patients with cervical dystonia that participate in strenuous activity. However, due to poor alignment of the cervical spine secondary to the dystonia, you are at an increased risk for degenerative changes in the cervical spine. For short term projects, main thing is to listen to your body, if it hurts, do not do it. If it does not cause discomfort, short term is okay.
