Ginger tea, not ale: Ginger is an old folk remedy for heartburn. Many report it helps though i'm not aware of formal research on this. It may not help everyone but has many proven health benefits. However, i would not recommend ginger ale, which is usually loaded with toxic high-fructose corn syrup; use ginger tea instead. Ginger, Ginger: Ginger ale has been used for indigestion but you would need to select one that actually contains real ginger. Ginger tea is better. Put slices of fresh organic ginger in a teapot. Add boiling water. Seep in lidded tea pot for at least 5 minutes. Sip slowly. Or nibble on crystallized ginger. This can be very effective.
